I’m not exactly certain of the date this figure drawing group got started but I’ve been drawing with them for about 18 years. I remember first jumping in on a figure drawing night when it was held at the Ocean City Arts League down on 9th and Asbury. Continue reading Life Drawing in South Jersey
For the first time in over a year, I got to attend a life drawing group in person. From 8-9 pm at the Arts Garage in Atlantic City, artists gathered for life drawing in real life.
Art Club‘s been meeting virtually but last night, they held a hybrid drawing session. There was a camera set up for the Zoom meeting, which was displayed on a flat screen TV in view. I wore a mask and the spacious area left plenty of room to sprawl out. It felt so good to draw with people again and all the artists in attendance were friendly.
A few cell phone photos of my sketches from last night’s hour-long session. Charcoal and graphite on paper.
I’m always on the lookout for more drawing sessions, especially as more and more people get vaccinated. Please let me know if you hear of any more.
Art Club is hosting another hybrid session on April 8, if you want to get in on it too.
I purchased a ticket for last night’s event on eventbrite.
