Drawing night scheduled at the Ocean City Art Center looks like it’s been cancelled indefinitely.
Here’s the latest email:
In light of the recent issues with the corona virus, we have decided to heed the concerns about
group gatherings and cancel our opening for this coming Friday evening. The gallery will still be open if you would like to stop by and view the show. The winner’s names and work will be posted on facebook.
We are also cancelling drawing and movie night until further notice.
If any further changes need to be made, we will send out an email and post on facebook.
We still plan on having a show for April. The theme is weather.
Take care and stay well.
Dear Friends, Drawing night is this coming Thursday, March 12 from 5 to 8:45 PM at the Ocean City Arts Center at 17th and Simpson Ave. The model will be a partially clothed young man. There will be short poses for one hour followed by a long pose for 2 hours with breaks. Please bring drawing boards in case we run out of table space. Please bring the exact amount of $15 to pay the model. RSVP to Mary Anne Kline firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks,
Doreen and Mary Ann
I don’t organize these things, I’m just passing along the info because I like drawing close to home. Plus this place reminds me of being a kid – I used to hang out there after school a million years ago.
This is the long-running life drawing group organized through the Ocean City Fine Arts League, founded by the late Jim Penland way back when the art league was on 9th and Asbury.
