Exploring relationships, roles, and transformation with materials, paint, human forms, and abstractions. Always in search of walls. Contemporary works on canvas and other materials.
I find the tangible forms we experience life through fascinating. I draw from life, and use those drawings as references for paintings.
Transformation of former materials to forms from materials
Paint materials assembled as abstracted sculptural forms in painting-inspired collage to draw a relationship between process, presence, and transformation.
Figures on Clothes was one of my first series of paintings around 2003. I painted them with relationship ideas between clothing and the human form explored between subject matter and material. I painted nude female figures directly onto the surface of stretched and prepared clothing as I would on primed canvas.
In 2003, I started painting nude women onto the surface of stretched and prepared clothing as though it were canvas.
In revisiting the series, I’m bringing in some intimate and emotional elements. I plan to continue these.

Figures on Clothes was my first series of paintings starting c. 2003. To me, they began with the relationship between clothing and nudity using the human form explored between subject matter and material. I painted these nude female figures directly onto the surface of stretched and prepared clothing as I would on primed canvas.
